About Us
Dear Client,
Thank you for considering Home Mobility Solutions for your accessibility needs. I see this not as a business of machinery or installations but of solutions. Solutions that allow you or your loved ones to stay at home despite age or physical impairment. To me, creating a barrier-free home that allows you to maintain your way of life is personal.
I grew up on a farm in Gridley, IL, with my family; that family included my uncle, who became paralyzed in a swimming accident. I witnessed firsthand the potential for barriers that would prohibit my uncle from achieving a full life. At the time of his accident there were no companies to call or products designed to remedy our situation. My family and I began creating and constructing solutions for my uncle, improvising ramps before such a thing even existed for order. These makeshift ramps allowed my uncle to get in and out of the house and helped him achieve greater independence.
Eventually, I left the family farm to attend college and went on to have a corporate career. However, my experiences with creating home solutions stayed with me, and my true passion remained helping people stay in their homes regardless of their physical impairment or age. I started Home Mobility Solutions in 2004 to help people like my uncle and families like my own.
Home Mobility Solutions stands out among the variety of other installers because I understand the difficult circumstances you are dealing with. Compassion for your situation cannot be taught in a lesson on salesmanship. Creating solutions for me is not just a business, but truly a way of life. Making decisions for a loved one can be overwhelming, and seeing their frustrations is hard. Physical impairment and age should not force individuals from their homes – our goal is to allow people to stay at home and age in place, retaining or regaining the freedoms they have lost.
What began as a necessity on a family farm has grown into a business and a lifestyle. We understand that this process involves inviting people into your home, and that whether you are researching Home Mobility Solutions for yourself or a loved one, you want to use a company you trust and feel is qualified. We carry a wide range of products that allow us to craft a personal solution, tailor-made for your home or business. We provide practical accessibility solutions for home modifications and ensure that our business modifications are ADA compliant. At Home Mobility Solutions we ensure high quality performance by doing all of our own work. Unlike other contractors, making homes and businesses accessible is the only thing we do. From sales to design, installation and service, we are your answer to staying at home.
Sincerely,
Mike Cleary

"The lift and ramp have been installed. The two men who worked on the installation did a great job. I hope I have the opportunity to recommend Home Mobility to someone else in need of a solution."

"Mike had written me an estimate of what the job required as far as labor and materials and told me how long he expected the work to take. All expectations were met and was completed in the time he quoted. The bathroom turned out better than I had expected."
